Lid have a chip on the under rim which appear to be a production flaw. Tureen is in very good condition with the exception of crazing and staining as can be seen in the pictures. Rare Vintage Pauline Pottery, pale green with dark blue drip 2 1/2 X 6 inches. Pauline Jacobus was a china painter who taught the subject in her Chicago home. She went to Cincinnati in 1881 where she studied at the Rookwood School for Pottery Decoration. She founded the Pauline Pottery in 1883, the first art pottery company in Chicago. She later moved to Wisconsin. My mother collected vintage American Art Pottery. There is a small chip in the inside of the bowl, evident in the photo. This is a vintage Bauer Pottery punch bowl or Bauer footed punch bowl. Very large pottery bowl with footed base. Part of Bauer’s iconic Ringware pattern. Some mild utensil ware marks, and usage scratches. No chips or cracks. One glaze skip or scuff. Very large piece of Bauer. Rare and hard to find. This is a larger bowl.
