There is a chipped areas which occurred while loaned out. Up for sale is a stunning, authentic antique pitcher and bowl wash set by F. At the Colonial Pottery works in Stoke, England. It features the collectible “Taunton” pattern, an elegant scalloped edge, vibrant pink rose swags, aqua ribbon/bow panels, and delicate gold gilt highlights. The previous owner my grandmother loaned the set to St. Andrew’s Church in Savannah in 2003. Pitcher Height: Approx. Bowl Diameter: Large wash basin size (matches the 13 pitcher scale). Both pieces are in beautiful antique condition with vibrant graphics and shiny glazing. Age-appropriate light crazing is present, which is standard for English earthenware of this era.

Description: This English earthenware sugar bowl with lid and decorative flower final is beautifully decorated in a purple and blue sponged swirl pattern on a white background. Standing 4 ¾ inches tall, this timeless treasure is perfect for those who admire English pottery and appreciate authentic period aging and early craftsmanship. Sponged Purple & Blue Blended Pattern. Flower Shape Finial – Handle. Interior and Exterior Glaze. Note : Please refer to “Condition” below and review all photographs before purchasing. Circa: 1800s – Early 1900s. Dimensions: Overall Height: 4 ¾” (with lid), Height: 4″ (bowl only), Width: 4 1/8″ (at top of bowl), Base: 3 ¼”. Product Weight : 14.1 ounces. Color: Purple & Blue Color Tones (Purplish-Blue). Maker: Unknown – No Maker Marks. Origin: Likely originated from England. (Acquired in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania). Condition is commensurate with age and use. No chips, cracks or repairs. Some discoloration/staining under lid and interior (as shown). Some nicks around interior lip of bowl. Light wear to base. ½ glaze scrape on side of exterior footed base. One side appears to have a slight raised seam line from the making which extends down to the footed base. At bottom of footed base, a very slight separation in the glaze (as shown). Please notice lid was decorated more in in an all-over purple color where rim is blue. We strongly believe this is the way it was crafted. Please be sure this is suitable for your taste. WE LIST FRESH-TO-THE-MARKET ITEMS SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. VISIT MY STORE AT. BEAUTIFUL POTTERY TUREEN / SUGAR BOWL. LATE 18TH / EARLY 19TH CENTURY. About 7 1/2″ high x 9″ across the handles. Likely English or French mocha ware in the’Aptware’ tradition. Lidded mochaware lidded bowl from the likely from the Provence region of France. Marbled earthenware in swirls in various shades of brown and beige. Lidded top with a central knop. Often called “aptware” after the region of France where it became popular in the 18th century. Some scattered glaze flakes, and one curious section where a raised daub of clay appears to have been applied around the time of manufacture (all visible in the images). A RARE AND EARLY SMALL FRENCH LIDDED TUREEN!

Here is a Jeffords Yellow Ware Antique Bowl. Circa: 1800′s This bowl measures 8″ wide on top of bowl and 4.25″ Tall. This is a Molded Embossed Design with a Beaded Band below the rim. There is a little bit of pitting inside the bottom of the bowl and some on the bottom of the bowl. There are also a couple of tiny nicks on the rim and on the bottom of the bowl. Also shown in the pictures. Glaze is very good. This is really a Very Nice Piece! Thanks For Stopping By!
