Yellowware Pottery Nesting Mixing Bowls from Ruckel Pottery of Illinois! The term “yellowware” derives from the yellow-hued clay used to create this type of kitchenware that includes mixing bowls, butter crocks, and pudding molds. Yellowware was produced in America for about 100 years, from 1830 to 1930. This is a molded decoration in the popular “Inverted Picket” pattern from Ruckel. These are highly collectible. Very little wear and is in very good vintage condition. Some slice marks that appear to have happened in production. Please see photos and zoom in.
This antique Adams Pottery punch bowl features a maritime transferware design with “The Mariner’s Compass” motif and “The Sailor’s Tear” verse to interior. A fine late 19th to early 20th century example of Adams Staffordshire craftsmanship. Condition: Very good overall condition; general wear, fleabite to top rim, crazing present; kindly see photos. I HAVE USED THIS BOWL TOO MANY TIMES TO COUNT OVER THE LAST 40 plus YEARS. ALSO MUCH CRAZING AND “LOTS” OF THE DESIRED STAINING…. More of a cream color. Adding to the patina! Please refer to all photos! THE BOWL IS NOT PERFECTLY ROUND. NOR IS IT THE EXACT HEIGHT ALL THE WAY AROUND. Making it an early piece for sure. Antique rare American art pottery bowl by J. Modeled in a lobed form with a finely applied bird perched on the rim and a molded leaf interior. Warm caramel and tan glazes highlight the naturalistic Art Nouveau styling typical of late 19th to early 20th century Owens work. A scarce and unusual form, further distinguished by the circular factory stamp present on the side. Condition: Very good overall conditon; heavy crazing present; kindly see photos. Antique extra large Ironstone bowl with a wildflower pattern. There’s a lot of crazing & staining for the best aged patina. There are a few small chips on the rim, as shown in the pictures. The base has a raised marking but I can’t make it out. This will look perfect displayed alone or added to your Ironstone collection. Approx 16″ Diameter x 5 1/2″ tall.
