Signed by Lester Breininger Redware Low Bowl Platter Slip Decorated Glazed 17 1991 Vintage Folk Art Pottery. This amazing, rare, large shallow bowl or platter measures 17″ x 12″ x 2 1/4 and weighs 4# 9 oz. One edge glaze chip – see photo close up. The plate is decorated with yellow slip over the brown background with four green sponged parallel lines. Would make a lovely centerpiece bowl. Signed on back L Breininger Robesonia Pa July 18, 1991 Sunny and Hot. Can shown for size.
Vintage Santa Clara redware pottery bowl with handles. This bowl features a prancing antelope (or deer) and other decorative design elements – note the wear (see pictures). A NED FOLTZ 17.5″ long Redware Pottery Bowl, 3.5″ high. In very good condition without chips, cracks or repairs. The date and signature is there but harder to read. See the last pictures. We believe the date is 1993. Nice thick pottery so the bowl is heavy.
This is a large primitive redware clay glazed bowl. It is beautifully made with a wonderful shape. The bowl does have wear due to age including chipping, paint loss and pitting. This bowl does not have any major cracks or repairs. Please see all the photos before purchasing they are part of the description. 5″ tall x 13.5″ wide.
A vintage terracotta redware bowl with a green and yellow glaze. The bowl is unmarked, but this is probably a piece of Italian pottery, or possibly Spanish. The bowl is approximately 11 inches diameter and 3.25 inches tall, and is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, just a few tiny glaze rubs and some light wear and crazing. IT HAS SOME SMALL CHIPS ON THE BACK NEAR THE EDGES. THE BOWL HAS THE SAW TYPE EDGE OR A PIE CRUST DESIGNED AROUND THE BOWL. THE BOWL IS NOT MARKED. IT WAS USED MANY TIMES OVER. IT HAS NO CRACKS AND NO HAIRLINES. SEE PICTURES FOR THE CONDITION OF THE SHALLOW BOWL. THE BOWL IS ABOUT 9 3/4″ WIDE AND 2″ HIGH. IT WEIGHS JUST UNDER 2 LBS.
