For sale is the 1951 handmade incised redware PA Dutch-German folk art 11.5 anniversary pottery bowl shown in the listing photos. In addition to the names of the recipients the inscription reads in part “Loving and being loved is the greatest thing on earth”. The underside also indicates that the piece was made by someone with the last name Barney in Landsdowne PA. Please read the detailed Condition description section.
Vintage set of six handmade rustic, primitive Mexican redware clay, handled nesting bowls. The color is a lovely rusty reddish brown, natural glaze, and aged patina. Terracotta bowls should only be used for dry-goods and never touched with liquids. The largest bowl has two handles; all others have one handle. Largest bowl is 3.75″ tall (slightly taller at handles), and 9.25″ wide (slightly wider at handles). Smallest bowl is 1.75″ tall, and 3.875″ wide.
This is 1990 Breininger robesonia pa redware pottery mixing serving bowl with a patriotic theme. The bowl features an eagle and American flag design. It measures 6 inches tall and 10 inch wide across the top/. A beautiful bowl for ameica design. Dont look used much. One tiny little paint chip in glaze on rim. Hardly any utencil marks on inside. This amazing, rare, large shallow bowl or platter measures 17″ x 12″ x 2 1/4 and weighs 4# 9 oz. One edge glaze chip – see photo close up. The plate is decorated with yellow slip over the brown background with four green sponged parallel lines. Would make a lovely centerpiece bowl. A NED FOLTZ 17.5″ long Redware Pottery Bowl, 3.5″ high. In very good condition without chips, cracks or repairs. The date and signature is there but harder to read. See the last pictures. We believe the date is 1993. Nice thick pottery so the bowl is heavy.
This is a large primitive redware clay glazed bowl. It is beautifully made with a wonderful shape. The bowl does have wear due to age including chipping, paint loss and pitting. A vintage terracotta redware bowl with a green and yellow glaze. The bowl is unmarked, but this is probably a piece of Italian pottery, or possibly Spanish. The bowl is approximately 11 inches diameter and 3.25 inches tall, and is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, just a few tiny glaze rubs and some light wear and crazing.
