Beautiful set of Vernon kills early California pottery dishes! Includes a casserole or soup bowl with lid 7.25 in diameter, 8 soup bowls with lids 6.2 inch diameter, two additional bowls without lids, for 6.3 inch diameter bread or side plates, two additional bread or side plates with minor defects as shown in pictures, creamer with lid and beautiful salt and pepper set! Creamer lid has a minor flea bite inside as shown in picture.
This listing is for a Vintage 1930s Art Deco Gladding McBean California Pottery “Tropico” Pattern # 51 Chinese Flower Bowl / Footed Centerpiece Bowl. It stands on 3 scroll feet. It has a fantastic glossy orange glaze. Marked on bottom with “GMCB” oval ink stamp (photos 7 and 8). It is in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks, or repairs. All rims and edges look perfect. Just one larger factory glaze miss on side of exterior (photo 23). Could easily be touched up to not be as noticeable. Some usual factory glaze bubbles (photo 24). Very clean in and out. Please view photos carefully as they are my main description. (White spots in pictures are glare / lighting from photos and not actually on the item). It is pretty big and fragile weighing 2.3 lbs before packing and will be securely packaged and double boxed. It measures 9 3/4″ across and 3 1/2″ tall.
This lovely bowl measures approximately 11 1/4 diameter. It is signed by the artist on the bottom. It is in good condition with no cracks or chips. This has all been photographed for you to view. METLOX POPPYTRAIL Vintage California Pottery HOMESTEAD & PROVINCIAL 4 Piece Lot. Four piece lot of vintage Metlox pottery. We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this four piece lot of Vintage Metlox Pottery. This four piece lot was produced by Metlox Pottery. Metlox Pottery was based in Manhattan Beach, California and produced pottery at this site from 1927 to 1989. Three of the pieces in this lot are in the Homestead pattern, the split rectangle handled dish, the candle holder, and the saucer. The coffee cup is done in the Provincial pattern. All the pieces in this lot have the “Metlox Poppytrail Made in California logo” – this style logo was in use from approximately 1958 to 1978. Condition- The condition of all the pieces included in this lot is very good. There are no issues to report. If you are a collector of vintage California pottery, and Metlox in particular, this four piece lot may have just the items you are looking for, to complete your collection.
