Bauer Vintage California Swirl Pot Planter Pottery #8, 6 Set Matte White

This set is not without it’s issues, Pot #8 (5.5 LB)has a crack from center drilled hole and around bottom, several chips around the tope edge of pot and dark area under glaze where there is a lot crackling (pics of #8 are 1-6). Pot #6 (2.75 LB) the glaze is dull, with several spots or marks on outside, may be able to remove with a clean compound, (Pics 1, 7-11). I have more pictures if you need anything answered ask questions. I have another set of 2 swirl pots in yellow and a small 1 robins egg blue. Vintage art nouveau pottery bowl planter raised leaves design

The vase is shallow like. It has a purple esque translucent glaze. The purple color is more defined in recessed areas. The sides have a leaf and stem; maybe lily pads with a raised vertical background design. There is a blue speckling in the glaze inside and out. A fine crackling crazing inside. Flaws in the glaze, lumps, bumps, etc… There is a small, maybe fire crack flaw on the top edge near remains of a sticker on leaf design; see pics. It could be art nouveau pottery. Vintage Fantasia Dancing Mushrooms Dish or Planter / Vernon Kilns Pottery Calif. This is the best dish or planter. It is So amazing. This has the dancing mushrooms, the nutcracker sequence, from the 1940′s Disney Movie Fantasia. It was hand painted and then glazed. It is 12 in x. The stamp on the back says. Made in the USA. It does not have the word Disney on it like some others I have seen. I asked the owner about it at an estate sale. She got it when her children were young. She looked to be in her late 60′s to early 70′s to give you a time frame. She said it could have been left off by mistake or Disney was not stamped on it yet. If you are a collector you might know a lot more about this item. I can tell you there is not one chip or crack on this item and it is so whimsical and wonderful. This pot was in use at the estate. We carefully removed the contents and lightly washed it. I see NO cracks, nicks, chips, hairlines, or such damage. There is some white hard water deposit material around the bottom that you may wish to remove with further detailing, depending on your needs. Measures about 8 ¾” across the top, and about 8″ tall. RARE Antique 1920s ROSEVILLE TOURIST Pottery 6 Fern Bowl Planter Arts & Crafts

Offered for sale is a Beautiful Antique Roseville Art Pottery Fern Bowl or planter in the Scarce “Tourist” Pattern. This Wonderful Creamware pattern was introduced in 1916. This handpainted piece features a traveler in their touring car, birds (rooster and goose), house, trees and grass. Beautifully finished in a cream colored glaze. 5 3/4 inches wide by 3 inches tall. This piece is unmarked. According to the research I did, this pattern was not marked. Unmarked similar pieces can be seen on page 93 in “Introducing Roseville Pottery” by Mark Bassett. Condition: No chips, breaks or repairs. The interior is nice and clean. There is a very small (3/8) tight hairline at the rim (Please refer to photo #10). There are about 5 glaze flakes to the brown paint on the rim. One is slightly larger than the others (please see photo #7). This piece has allover age crazing. There is a manufacturing flaw on the base. 3/16 inch long and oval shaped. I examined this with a 10x loupe and you can see the rough clay inside so I do believe this occurred when the piece was made (Please see photo #11). There is a stray tiny (1/4) line of green paint in the yellow road. There are some random dark specks thoughout – most likely impurities in the clay or glaze. There is some minor wear to the paint (face, houses, chicken, steering wheel). Minor wear and light scratches consistent with age and normal use. Please refer to photos.
