Vintage 10.5-11 Cobalt Blue Yellow Ware Bowl. This is the largest of a set of nesting bowls with a depth of 3.5. This particular design is called Blue Venetian, and it was introduced in the 1940s. This is a heavy bowl with wide body. The rim is decorated with a picket fence pattern, and the lower part of the bowl has a honeycomb design. There is no foot base; the bowl sits on eight small ridges on the bottom. Pre-owned but good condition with some smaller chips on side and bottom, see pictures. This is a rarer Yellow Ware bowl. We have a lovely set of Lindner Kueps Bavaria Echt Cobalt from Germany. The set consists of a Bowl, 5 small Plates, large Jar with Lid and an Ashtray. They are all marked with the Lindner backstamp. The Bowl measures approx. 7-3/4 inches wide and 1-1/2 inches deep. The Plates measure approx. The Ashtray measures approx. 4-1/2 x 2-3/4 inches. The Jar with Lid measures approx. All in very good preowned condition with no chips or cracks. The Jar still has the original label attached. This is a great time to add to your Linder Kueps Bavaria Echt Cobalt. All pieces are impressed or signed in some way. Two have paper seal attached, will not remove. There are five pieces, including the tea pot top. Tea pot has two notches and one the top is put in place it is very secure for the poor. This is a piece the round bowl with a pansy inside has minor repairs on the edge, one is shown in the picture as good as I can. Person the repairs are not obvious in the bowl is very usable. It was probably used for sweet meats, or some other small delicacy. Or perhaps to place the infuser after the tea was made. In any case I have based my price on the four pieces and the bowl is just included as it is part of the original set, these are signed in impressed and they’re very good pieces. Measurements are as follows, sugar, approximately 3 inches tall and 3 1/2 wide, creamer three tall, approximately 3 1/2 wide from tip to handle, bowl 4 3/4 wide and 2 inches tall. RARE Vintage Bennington Pottery Recipe Wall Plaque Dione Lucas Quenelles de Brochet w/Nantua Sauce Cobalt Blue Description Charming Vintage 13″x 14″ Bennington Wall Plaque Rich Cobalt Blue Hole at Top for hanging It is a heavy piece Recipe for the classic French dish QUENELLES de BROCHET with NANTUA Sauce Marked on back Bennington Potters Bennington Vermont 1822. The entire recipe is stamped into the soft clay before firing. It was subsequently glazed in cobalt blue. There are several of these to collect and are rather pricey. Note up top that is a short as made shrinkage crack from the first firing so see if you like it. Very neat piece all solid and excellent. Called “To the Queen’s Taste”. An English woman, she had several restaurants in NYC including the famed restaurant, the Gingerman. Later in her life (1960s or so), she retired to Vermont and I believe Bennington created this plate at that time to celebrate her. Don’t let this one get away! Item could have wear/use/scuffs/scratches/stains/dust/awesomeness – Please also see pictures. (Heavy/Awkward items may take another day).
