Massive antique glazed earthenware milk pan or dough bowl. Crafted from thick, heavy-duty utility clay, this rustic dish features a rich, glossy brown slip-glazed interior and exterior walls, contrasted by a heavily weathered, completely unglazed flat bottom base that showcases its genuine age. Its oversized, deep-dish design makes it a spectacular focal piece for a farmhouse table, a rustic kitchen hearth, or open display shelving. This genuine antique item is in sturdy, good antique condition with no structural cracks, featuring typical primitive character including surface glaze pitting, minor rim flakes, kiln marks, and substantial shelf wear on the bottom base consistent with 19th-century domestic use.

Yellowware Pottery Nesting Mixing Bowls from Ruckel Pottery of Illinois! The term “yellowware” derives from the yellow-hued clay used to create this type of kitchenware that includes mixing bowls, butter crocks, and pudding molds. Yellowware was produced in America for about 100 years, from 1830 to 1930. This is a molded decoration in the popular “Inverted Picket” pattern from Ruckel. These are highly collectible. Very little wear and is in very good vintage condition. Some slice marks that appear to have happened in production. Please see photos and zoom in.

Dates Backed to Early 1920′s. Robinson Ransbottom Started The Impressed Crown Mark 1920. The Blue & Brown Were Late 1800′s – 1920. The Collared Rim Dates It 1900- 1940. Great Collector’s Piece- Displays Beautifully. Stored In Smoke-free, Pet-free Environment.
Absolutely gorgeous antique McCoy yellowware mixing bowl in the stunning, art nouveau style, “Gothic & Vine” pattern (so named for the Gothic arches). In rich green and creamy beige, this piece is a beautiful example of this rare 1800s design. There are a few small nicks on the outside (as pictured), but this may be due to manufacturing defects rather than damage. There is also a shallow crack on the inside (does not go all the way through to the underside). There is also crazing as would be expected on an item of this age.
