Pacific Pottery Blended Glazes Bowl 6¾ Inch Diameter Beautiful Circa 1930's

These pieces from Pacific Pottery are called Blended Glazes. This one has a striking coloration. It does have some small flaws. Please look over all the pictures. The first 3 close up pictures show small flea bites and a short crack going across the top of the rim. Only one of these tiny cracks shows up on the outside rim. The last picture shows the crazing which is not unexpected given this bowl is almost 100 years old and was probably a utilitarian bowl. Anything that looks like a crack in the inside bottom is just crazing because there are no cracks showing on the bottom of the bowl. It is 6¾ inches in diameter and 2¼ inches deep. The bottom is 5½ in diameter. Note that the mark is printed on the bottom and this mark was used in the 1930′s. I researched these bowls to get pricing and I came up with this price by striking the high and low sale price and averaging the rest on bowls that are in similar condition.

Vintage Heath Pottery LARGE 14.5 Salad Bowl (prototype / second) circa 1970s. I have owned this bowl since the mid 70s when I received it as a gift from a family member that worked at Heath Pottery in Sausalito CA. The color is very hard to photograph but the first two pictures are the most accurate for color (outside glaze is a beautiful olive green and inside glaze is a dark black/ anthracite gunmetal color). I think it was a second, only due to the sight wave (barely noticeable except in certain light – see picture) and there are some tiny multiple scratches in the outside glaze. As shown in the bottom pictures (not really visible in my opinion when upright on table). Please ask me any.

This vintage gray ceramic bowl, crafted by Mountainside Pottery between 1929 and 1941, exemplifies the brand’s dedication to functional yet aesthetically pleasing stoneware. The bowl features a subtle geometric design around its exterior, characteristic of the Art Deco influence prevalent during that era. Its muted gray glaze and minimalist form make it a versatile addition to both vintage collections and contemporary settings. The piece is in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with its age, adding to its authentic charm. A fine example of early 20th-century American pottery, this bowl reflects the craftsmanship and design sensibilities of its time.
