1970s Vintage Heath Ceramics Prototype Steamer Bowl. Description: (1) Ceramic prototype steamer bowl, features a steamer chimney (or shaft) at center, dark brown outer/opaque inner finish, die stamped “HEATH” on the bottom. Dimensions: Steamer measures 8 3/8 inch diameter x 3 3/8 inch height. Initials/signature of former owner. Biography: The defining influence of Edith Heath on 20th century American design, by creating distinctive ceramic dinnerware and architectural times that were commercially unavailable at the time, captured the attention of Frank Lloyd Wright, who specified Heath dinnerware for some of his projects Edith Heath — renowned ceramicist, Marsha Ginsburg, SF Chronicle, Jan. Condition: Fine; no chips or cracks. Characteristic of prototypes, there are some areas that may have an uneven or less finished appearance e. See image # 1, steamer chimney exterior bears a globular appearance and observe the inconsistent interior glaze color, most pronounced in the chimney surround area.
Vintage Edith Heath Ceramics Pottery of Sausalito, California. #110 Deep Serving Bowl in a discontinued matte Dark Brown and Turquoise glaze. Impressed stamp at underside. Model number stamped at underside. Additional black glaze stamps at underside. In VG+ vintage condition with light signs of age and wear. Measures approximately 6 inches in diameter at the rim exterior, 4.25 inches tall, and 2.50 inches in diameter at the base. Weighs approximately 1.50 lbs. Will weigh between 2 and 3 lbs packaged. Huge lot of vintage mid-century modern Heath pottery in the sea and sand pattern. 10 soup/cereal/coupe bowls (6.5 inch diameter). 10 small plates (6 inch diameter). 3 medium plates (roughly 8 inch diameter). These items look GREAT. No chips/cracks/scratches, maybe some minor natural wear, but definitely in excellent condition. If you would like me to post additional pictures, message me and I can.

SLIGHT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR INSIDE BOWL, SEE PICS!
Vintage early 1950s studio pottery bowl with mottled brown drip glaze made by Edith Heath of Sausalito. Hallmarks: Base is stamped “Heath” with the drop cup logo underlined 3 times. Dimensions: Height 6 7/8″ x Top Diameter 13 1/2″ x Base Diameter 4 1/2. Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear. Minor utensil scuffs and scratches to interior. No chips, cracks, or breaks. Bowl rings like a bell when the rim is tapped gently.
This is a Vintage Brown Heath Pottery Bowl with lid. On the bottom of the bowl. The name Heath is Impressed. The bowl is 7 1/4″ in diameter and is 2 3/4″ tall. The lid can actually stand on its own to use.
