This set of 2 vintage, antique, hand-thrown pottery bowls are a beautiful addition to any collection. The bowls are signed by artist Anton Lang. The blue an turquoise drip glaze gives each bowl a unique design. They have a height of 4 inches and a diameter of 9.5 inches, making them perfect for display or use. VINTAGE LOUIS MIDEKE 12 CHECKERBOARD CENTERPIECE BOWL. This beautiful large centerpiece bowl has a. Brown and beige checkerboard pattern with a beige circle on the interior base. The base of the bowl is incised Mideke. The only other pottery piece I have found with this checkerboard pattern is in the Whatcom Museum, however it is a much smaller piece in size. Took inspiration not only from the shape of everyday objects but also from the colors, subtle textures and minimalism found in Asian ceramic traditions. He identified as a potter but created works that in their art and elegance placed his work in galleries, museums and private art collections. 1982 to the best of my knowledge. 12″ across rim and 5 ½” from tabletop to rim edge. Antique Alberto Rubboli Gualdo Tadino Italian Hand-painted Large Ceramic Bowl. This spectacular bowl in very hard ceramic, polychrome enameled and glazed, entirely decorated by hand and finished with luster. It is signed under the base by Alberto Rubboli and Gualdo Tadino. It is in superb condition. There are no chips, cracks, damages or repairs. The white spots in the images are reflections from an overhead light and not paint loss. The plate measures 11 inches in diameter and has a depth of 3 inches at the center. It weighs just under 2 pounds 7 ounces. A very rare and beautiful one-of-a-kind piece.
Absolutely gorgeous antique McCoy yellowware mixing bowl in the stunning, art nouveau style, “Gothic & Vine” pattern (so named for the Gothic arches). In rich green and creamy beige, this piece is a beautiful example of this rare 1800s design. There are a few small nicks on the outside (as pictured), but this may be due to manufacturing defects rather than damage. There is also a shallow crack on the inside (does not go all the way through to the underside). There is also crazing as would be expected on an item of this age. As always, please see ALL PICTURES for full condition info. 3.5″ tall and around 7.25″/19cm wide.
