This exquisite antique pottery bowl hails from the early 19th century ca. 1825, and is a testament to the intricate craftsmanship of the Yoshidaya Kiln. The Kutani style of this Japanese bowl showcases a beautiful blend of vibrant colors, dark blue, yellow, deep green, and purple. With each brushstroke, this bowl was meticulously hand-painted to create this stunning piece of art. I bought it at an estate sale, and I got it for a good price. The bowl has been taken care of with love. No nicks, chips or cracks to the pottery itself. There are a few tiny paint nicks around the top rim. The bowl is not perfectly round due to being hand thrown. No scratches or gouges. No stains or discoloration. No glued repairs or restoration. Evans Mission Swirl 1930s Vintage Hand Made Brown Art Pottery Covered Bowl. Rarely seen Evans pottery Niloak mission swirl style covered bowl. Shows well with a small nick to the base of the lid and narrow chip to the inside lip of the bowl rim. No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bowl is 4″ tall and 4 1/2″ wide. Evans Pottery began making swirl pottery in 1928. Several years later they moved to Boulder City, Nevada and ultimately Barstow, California. In Barstow Evans produced Desert Sands Pottery. The majority of Desert Sands is colorful swirl pottery which has a high gloss interior and exterior. Complete satisfaction is always guaranteed.
