DESCRIPTION : This rare vintage 30s Roseville pottery hanging planter is in excellent condition. There are not any chips, crazing, cracks or repairs. It appears that this basket / bowl was not used. The pattern is Jonquil made in 1930 over 90 years ago! This pattern had some tiny pinpoint bubbles to the white paint in the pattern. Please use the close up option to look at all the photos provided. I do not have the chain that would have come with this 3 hole bowl. Add this hanging pottery planter to your collection or give as a gift. Look for my other antiques and collectibles available for sale at the same time. No chips, cracks or repairs. ABOUT THE ARTIST: George (GEO) Davis Davis, George B. Davis is remembered on island for the Morning Glory Cafe on Old South Wharf which was decorated with his trompe l’olelal images. He exhibited at the Main Street Gallery. Davis started the Granary Gallery with Eric Holch in 1978 on Old South Wharf, then opened the adjoining Morning Glory Café which sported his whimsical murals. He moved to a store on Centre Street to conduct interior design and display his Wedgewood Nantucket china, modeled after Nantucket baskets.
