RARE ANTIQUE 1800s MOCHA & WHITE 8 BAND TEA BOWL YELLOW WARE MINT

Here we have a tea bowl dating to the early to mid-1800s. During the 1700s and early 1800s tea was an expensive commodity and after tea was brewed, the tea leaves would be saved in tea bowls until the next use. The form is always consistent, they always have flared sides and a molded raised foot. Decorated with 6 thin white bands and 2 mocha bands. The tea bowl is nicely formed with a rolled foot and recessed base. When found, tea bowls are often chipped, cracked or stained from use. Measuring 6 ¼” wide by 3 ¼”. High, the tea bowl is in original mint condition with no post production damage or repairs. On the inside of the tea bowl you can see the darkened stilt marks from firing. The tea bowl rings like a bell when you tap the rim. Tea bowls are highly collectable and were made in a wide variety of banding decorations and sizes.

RARE VTG Portmeirion Pomona Amicua Melon Large Round Plate Made In England VHTF

This rare vintage Portmeirion Pomona Amicua Melon large round plate is a must-have for any collector or lover of unique pottery. Made in England in the late 20th century, this one-piece set features a beautiful melon pattern with a glossy finish. The 12-inch diameter plate has a depth of 0.5 inches and a height of 0.75 inches, making it a perfect serving bowl plate for all occasions. The multicolor stoneware plate is part of the Pomona product line and has a contemporary style with a production style of art pottery. The original backstamp is printed and the plate is in excellent condition, ready to be displayed or used as intended. Don’t miss your chance to own this very hard-to-find piece of decorative cookware, dinnerware, or serveware. This pattern is one of the rarest Portmeirion designs and this shape size is extremely rare. No chips or cracks. A couple marks on the back but overall it looks exquisite (when we were looking the plate over, we thought we found scratches on one of the leaves but it turned out to be faint paint lines from the detailed artwork). There are a couple faint lines on the back, they are NOT cracks, they are clay lines from when the plate was made and taken from the mold. This is an exceptional and extremely hard to find piece.
