This exquisite ceramic casserole dish has sleek, clean-lined modernist form and a wonderfully stylised pattern executed in an appealing whimsical Scandinavian fashion! Two elegant ladies lounging in the branches of an exotic tree surrounded by a stunning array of whimsical flowering plant life appear to opposing sides of the casserole bowl. A stylish geometric border of oval shapes trims the beautifully flared top rim. The sleekly shaped lid is beautifully decorated with a band of stylised flowers surrounding the large and functional inbuilt ceramic knob. The enchanting design explodes to life with a dynamic exuberance, the playful pattern having a charming hand-drawn feel. This fabulous pattern is just so bright, fun and typically Scandinavian! The stunning design is executed in cool tones of blue, purple and lime green. The pattern appears upon a crisp white body. The pattern remains wonderfully crisp and vibrant and the white ceramic body is clean and stain free. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. MARKS: This piece is beautifully marked to the base with a blue “Turi Design Lotte Made in FF Norway” stamp along with the impressed code and country of manufacture “12000 Norway”.
