I love the feel of this bowl. The satin matte cobalt blue glaze looks and feels so amazing you won’t want to use it! Signed on the bottom by Luna Garcia. I can’t find any comps for this giant 14.5 size anywhere. No chip, cracks or scratches. Amazing condition for the age. Luna Garcia Pottery was a studio created in 1979 by artists Cindy and Curtis Ripley. They specialized in functional tableware characterized by simple, elegant, handmade shapes with satin matte colored glazes. Their studio was located in Venice Beach, California. Their pottery pieces became collectible and were featured in fine art galleries and homes worldwide. They were known for being sturdy and versatile, appearing on the tables of notable Westside restaurants like Gjelina, Rustic Canyon, and Huckleberry. While their items are considered “instant collectibles, ” the studio has since closed several years ago, making their pieces highly sought after.

We have recently acquired a beautiful Set of 4 Vintage Copeland English Imari Style Cobalt Gold Porcelain 9 Soup Bowl. Each piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and very little evidence of use. There are a few small spots of gold loss. Please be sure to read these notes about us.
