For you to consider is a vintage Majolica glazed ceramic Capuchin monkey compote, tazza, or fruit bowl. Perched on a tree branch, an absolutely charming light tan monkey is shaded by a canopy of tree limbs and deep emerald green leaves which comprise the shallow bowl above. Standing 11.75 in height, the shallow dish measures 8.5 in diameter and is 2 deep. The monkey base measures 8.5 in length and is 5 wide. No hallmark is found. Very light uniform crazing is seen on close inspection but is not visible unless intentionally looking for it under bright light and is not distracting.
