Offered is this fine mid century Clyde Burt pottery bowl featuring a dynamic abstract design. The exterior glaze is a textured, frothy brown/tan highlighted with lighter colored figures. The interior is a light tan with subtle speckles. The interior has a few darker areas in the glaze. Measuring about 3.25 by 6 across, the bowl is in excellent condition with no chips cracks or repairs. Although, it is not entirely evident in our photos, the bowl was made slightly ovoid. Vintage JARU Pottery MidCentury Modern Human Abstract Jar Edmund Ronaky Face Jug

I hope this finds you well! This is a rare vintage Signed JARU California Pottery mid century modern human abstract decanter by Edmund Ronaky. Jaru Art Products was started in 1950 by Jack and Ruth Hirsh in Culver City, Calif. The name is a combination of the first two letters of their first names (Ja and ru). Pottery closed in 1968. It is in wonderful vintage condition. Cream glaze on front does have normal overall crazing. There is also a pinhead dot of glaze flake on the lower side on the back. This piece seems to be a bit of a departure from Edmund Ronaky’s usual pieces, making this piece very unique and rare. The decanter is ceramic pottery with handle and an opening on top with original cork. The front of the piece has an abstract human face and a brown star pattern. The back of the piece is a very dark brown with variegated lighter brown highlights. Standing 9.5 tall to top of head and 6 across the base. The bottom has the California Decorative Original by JARU label/sticker and it also has Edmund Ronaky’s signature and 208? Very hard to see, but its there! PLEASE REVIEW ALL MY PHOTOS AS I CONSIDER THEM PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. All my items have been stored in a Smoke Free/Pet Free home. I do have an adorable Russian Tortoise but he’s my baby! Regarding “used” items, please remember that imperfections caused by aging. How it was made and also how it was previously used are and can be expected. Please determine condition by yourself taking a close look at pictures and asking questions. I try my best to get accurate colors on pictures but they will never be 100% exact. If you want a golden rule that will fit everything, this is it: Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful. William Morris, Founder of British Arts and Crafts Movement. Such as this beautiful vintage Rookwood bowl. The bowl is dusty rose matte glaze. There are a continuous band of rooks/ravens around the upper portion of the bowl just under the rim. The glaze has a very pretty striated appearance. The bowl measures 4 5/8″ across and is 2 1/2″ high. The opening is 3″ and the base measures 2″. On the bottom is stamped the Rookwood mark, “XX” for 1920 and the style number 2154. The bowl is in excellent, near mint condition. No cracks, chips or damage. A great addition to your vintage art pottery collection. This was designed with the rim curling in on itself in two areas along the top edge. The bottom is numbered: 95/458, Italy (see photo). 2.25″ tall x 7.5″ wide x 7 deep.
