This piece has an arts-and-crafts lotus shape with an incised, geometric floral motif encircling the shoulder of the bowl. This bowl is in excellent condition with a very-tight hairline at the rim and minor scuffing from gentle use. There are no chips, mild crazing and peppering in the glaze, and no repairs. There is a glazed-over clay tag on the inside and a small stilt pull or glaze pop on the base rim. The piece is approximately 2-1/4″ tall, almost 5-3/4″ wide at the shoulder, and 4-1/4 wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2132 and the production year XXI (1921). This gorgeous glaze combination is a matte dusty-rose underglaze with a curdled green overspray. The bowl is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 9 photos!
