All Fall/ Autumnal Colors abound from the leaves fallen on his neck to the leaves & berries on the base. The colors of the Pheasant blend right in-as they do in the wild. A small flea bite on the underside of the end of the lid- not visible when Lid is on the Bird.
C 1800 Miles Mason Hand Painted Sucrier Sugar Bowl Small Tureen Lid with Underplate. This early English small tureen/ sucrier bowl with underplate is in good condition overall for it’s c. 1800 age or possibly even late 1700′s.
The 11 asparagus style ladle is so fun. The tureen itself is about 13.75 including the two asparagus handles. The white basketweave body of the tureen is perfect.
The pattern was discontinued in 2002. 4 Pieces: Soup Tureen, Lid, Ladle, and Underplate in the “Campagna Chicken Blue” pattern by Vietri of Italy. All pieces in excellent condition. Never used and kept on display away from the sun. One horizontal chip is on bottom of tureen with paint touchup. Any other “imperfections” are part of the manufacture of these hand-made and hand-painted rustic pieces. Tureen: 9″ Wide; 8″ Tall with all pieces; Depth/Inside of Tureen: 4.25″T X 6.5″W. Antique 19th Century Staffordshire Blue Grecian Border Soup Tureen Underplate. Aesthetic Period Large Tureen Flow Blue Border with Gilt Gold. Gorgeous 19th Century Pattern Grecian Foliate Border in Charcoal Blue and Gilt Pom finial to lid. Measures 13 1/2 inches in height to top of finial on lid. Length handle to handle of tureen bowl is 16 inches. Underplate handle to handle is 16.5 inches. Width is 10.5 inch. Opening of tureen bowl is 12 inches length. Condition is quite good. One chip on lid, one chip to underside of the underplate. Crazing in some areas but does not detract. Overall good condition and displays well! This antique soup tureen from 1880 is a stunning piece of history with a beautiful design of flowers and leaves. It comes with a lid and ladle, as well as two smaller serving bowls and a spoon. The set was made in England by Waterloo Potteries T. Boote and is an original piece from the Victorian era. Vintage or Midcentury Metlox PoppyTrail Broccoli Shape Soup Tureen w/ Ladle Mint. This beautiful piece is in mint condition. No chips or cracks. It appears it was never used. Exquisite Decorative CFH/GDM Charles Field Haviland (Gerard, Dufraisseix & Morel), ROUND Covered SOUP TUREEN , Pink Brown Yellow Green on White w/Gold. DESCRIPTION: This features sprays of pink and yellow flowers with green and brown leaves sprinkled over the high white porcelain. There are even 3 sprays inside the bowl. The handles are heavily embossed and swirl to form a unique shape. The gold paint highlights the shape of the handles. The bowl and its lid are both embossed with a swirling design on the lid. The lid sits inside the bowl, but has a flange that overlaps the top of the bowl. CONDITION: The condition of this decorative set is superb. We can find only one tiny manufacturing defect and no damage. Look at the 1st and 11th photos. Find the black dot next to the bottom rim (which is a common dot from the ash of the coal fired kiln). Just below that is a 1/8 inch slip crack which formed when the piece was pulled from the mold. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches or hairlines. Please refer to the photos to see how classically beautiful this is. DIMENSIONS: The elegant round tureen is 11 1/4″ handle to handle with a diameter of 8 7/8″ and a height of 3 7/8. The lid’s diameter is 9 1/4. With the lid in place, the overall height is 7 1/2. HISTORY/MARKS: Charles Field Haviland was the nephew of David Haviland. Charles Field in 1858 married Loiuse Alluaud, the granddaughter of the Alluaud porcelain family. In 1876 management of the firm was entrusted to Charles Field Haviland and the pottery’s name was changed prior to his retirement in 1881. The partnership of Gerard, Dufaisseix & Morel took over. The whiteware mark was changed to have the GDM under the CFH. Morel ceased to be a partner in 1890. This item was manufactured by GDM (Gerard, Dufaisseix & Morel) at their Rue De Nexon pottery in Limoges, France. This is one of the successors to the CFH pottery. It has the green CFH/GDM backstamp with France written under it which came into effect with the partnership between Emile Gerard – Director, Jean-Baptiste Dufraisseix – Decorator, and Morel in 1891.
