Here are three beautiful ceramic GABRUDER HAAS hand painted bowls. One bowl has two small blemishes on the bottom but they are not noticeable when the bowl is sitting upright. Ramona, my mother-in-law, lovingly collected vintage pottery, glassware and other collectibles from all over the Midwest from the late 1970s thru the early 2000s, with the intent of opening a store to share her items. Unfortunately, age and health caught up with her before she had a chance, so my wife and I are offering many items from her collection to you. ON TO THE DESCRIPTION… PLEASE READ & LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS BEFORE PURCHASING. There are 15 items in this listing. All are in great condition. The boxes came from Ramona’s unopened. We opened them to verify the condition. See before and after pics to verify if of concern. The boxes obviously have shelf wear. There is some natural occurring very light crazing/slight discolration and what appears to be tiny manufacturing imperfections in the dishes. The plates are approximately 9.5″ & 6.25″. The bowl is 5.25″ The cup is 3.75″. Look at the pictures please. And work very hard to please our customers.

Quimper faience is produced in a factory near Quimper, in Brittany, France. Since 1708, Quimper faience (“faïence” in French) has been painted by hand, and production continues to this day. “Petit Breton” plate, Henriot, c1925. The “Faïenceries de Quimper” were established in “Locmaria”, the historical faience quarter of the city of Quimper, near the center. The Faïencerie d’Art Breton, newly created in 1994, was also established in Quimper, but outside the historical quarter “Locmaria”. “Locmaria” now also houses a Quimper faience museum. The pottery’s design reflects a traditional Breton influence. One design, which became typical for Quimper faience, is the “petit breton”, a naive representation of Breton man and/or woman in traditional Breton costume. The “petit breton” became popular around 1870 and is still today the main design bought by tourists. Older Quimper faience items are sought after by collectors worldwide.
