L ENOX K46 GOLD ENCRUSTED BOWL. Lenox – Vintage Rimmed Soup or Pasta Bowl Gold Encrusted Pattern “K46″. Lenox at its best! For your consideration, an absolutely gorgeous Rimmed Soup Bowl in the highly desirable “K46″ pattern. Dating from 1913, the 8-1/2 diameter rimmed bowl is crafted of fine ivory Lenox china and features the fine translucency that is unique to the period and has not been repeated. All hand-painted enamel work, very time consuming for individual flowers in the baskets and precisely applied blue dots in different sizes, not to mention the time intensive process and multiple steps for the gold encrusted border. The gold encrusted border closely resembles Tuxedo but is more elaborate. The earlier Mt Vernon is almost an exact match, the K46 has a gold encrusted border whereas the Mt Vernon has a flat gold border. This pattern would be a beautiful addition to your Tuxedo or Mt Vernon collection or any ivory based pattern. Condition is absolutely lovely; no damage no chips, cracks, flea bites, crazing. A light surface only scratch may be found in the body of the bowl here or there, nothing extreme, not deep, not rampant, visible when viewed on an angle under a light, which is certainly not the normal serving or display position. The hand-painted baskets and aqua dots are all perfect and intact. Other patterns that closely resemble K46 would be Mt Vernon, L2A, K6, or Blue Dot. Please take a look at our other Lenox listings.
