Set of vintage wood grain Vallauris ceramic cups, pitcher and bowls. This fine Vallauris drinks service dates to circa 1950s and is painted ceramic designed to look like it has been carved from wood. There are six cups, four bowls, one jug and a narrow platter. One of the bowls is branded Vallauris. Cups measure 2¾ diameter x 5½ high. Long platter 5 wide x 20¾ long x 3½ high. Jug measures 4¾ x 6¾ wide x 11 high. Cups measure 7cm diameter x 14cm high. Long platter 13cm wide x 53cm long x 9cm high. Jug measures 12cm x 17cm wide x 28cm high. Gift wrapping & card writing. Art Nouveau Antique Water Pitcher Set Large Jug Vase Bowl Arts & Crafts Deco Vtg

Made in England by F. Large water jug and washing bowl. Gorgeous Art Nouveau style. Lovely pink poppies surround both the pitcher and the bowl. The main blue / green tone was hard to photograph, but it is teal – a turquoise leaning more toward the green family. The golden flowers at the base of each piece are set on a lovely, soft, pastel yellow background that fades up into ivory / cream and meets the pink poppies. Pitcher: 14″ tall, 8.5″ spout to handle, 7.5 diameter at widest point. Bowl: 16.75 diameter across at top, 5 tall / deep from base. Fantastic condition for being over 100 years old. No chips or cracks in the pitcher. No cracks in the bowl, but there are 3 tiny 1/8 chips in the lip of the bowl (see closeup for the most noticeable one – the rest are less noticeable). Some very light paint loss to the gold edge of the bowl and lightly here and there on both pieces. The pitcher has some paint loss on the teal top part, mainly on the handle. This is a beautiful vintage large handmade pitcher and wash basin bowl set. The bowl is a cream color with a blue edged rim. The pitcher is also cream colored with blue accents and has an arrangement of white daisies and blue forget-me-knots on two sides. The pitcher is 9″ tall and wash basin is 11.25″ in diameter and 3 tall. Pitcher & Basin set weighs 10 lbs. This item was made at Lakeside Ceramics with markings ” 65 BAM 83″. Both pieces have the normal idiosyncrasies of handmade ceramics and signs of wear from use. I have noticed one minor hairline crack in the bowls rim. The bowl has felt circles on the bottom to protect the surface it sets on. See pictures for conditions. As nice as it gets, this is a full sized bowl and pitcher from what was probably fairly extensive washbowl and pitcher set. The design work is from the aesthetic period , that associated with an era of Eastlake furnishings, youll see an Asian influence and the decorative arts of this period are very conducive to modern furnishings. It would have been in a very nice home, not a factory worker, more middle class. Today, you might find an artful arrangement of casual wildflowers or a lavish one, but definitely a attention getter. After all, if it’s broken, I sure don’t want to sell it to someone else. That deal is unpredictable however. Choosing a shipper depends on weight, dimensions, AND where you are. If you are new or unaccustomed to purchasing vintage pieces or just want to ask what I mean by “flamingo pink”, I will be glad to help you through the process. The pitcher stands a towering 11 1/2 inches tall, the widest point, lip to handle is 9 inches. It sits on a 4 1/2. The bowl has a 12 inch diameter, 9 inch bottom and is 4 1/2 deep. Both pieces are light blue and white. Neither the bowl or pitcher have any : chips , cracks, crazing, or hairlines. The rim of the pitcher has some slight inter rim roughness, see photo # 12. Each piece has three blue bands around their centers. This set is heavy and requires special packing.
