Vintage PORSGRUND Norway NISSE Elf Gnome Porcelain Lidded Covered Bowl Dish Jar. Today we are happy to offer for sale a wonderful vintage Porsgrund. The factory has enjoyed continuous production over the past 130 years and in fact still use the same original “recipes” for all of its products. The porcelain factory produces a wide assortment of porcelain products ranging from fireproof goods destined for professional kitchens, to exquisite, fine porcelain for the home. Porsgrund is the main producer of porcelain flatware and products for the Norwegian Royal family, and has been so for three generations. This vintage lidded porcelain bowl features the whimsical Santa Claus-inspired patter Nisse, introduced in the mid 1990′s. The bowl features red and thin green bands accented by floral detailing on the lid and medallions with inset painted figures of elves and traditional Norwegian folkwomen. The piece is marked on the bottom “Porsgrund Norway 59″. Bowl is in excellent vintage condition, with very minimal display wear and no chips or cracks.
