Up for sale is a wonderful vintage handmade Native American Santa Clara Pueblo bird dish. It’s signed on the bottom and made of a thick black pottery material. The piece has a two toned black detailing with matte and high gloss finish. The piece is in nice condition and measures 5 3/4 inches long by 4 1/4 inches wide by 2 5/8 inches tall. Vintage ARTIST DALE NEESE Pottery 9 Pc Handled BOWLS w/COVERED SERVING DISH. My feedback speaks for itself. Just part of an interesting collection of better women’s clothing, shoes and quality household items found at a local estate here in Huntington Beach, Ca. See our other listings for more items! Pre owned displayed and loved I contacted the artist and he said that these were his “antiques, ” in other words, some of his earlier works as he stated that he no longer uses these glazes. Each bowl measures about 6 5/9 inches across the top (not including the handle) by 3 inches tall. The covered dish is 8 3/8 inches across the top of the bowl without the lid; with the lid on it is 9 inches across by about 3 1/2 inches tall. The bowls are about 3/8 inch thick. There is a hole in the top of the lid for steam/heat making it perfect to keep and serve tortillas. The bowls are super-sized! These is an awesome set and certainly one of a kind Hand Wash ds23. Condition: Great condition; One of the bowls is about 1/8 inch shorter than the rest, has crazing on the inside bottom. The inside bottom is also darker than the rest. No differences on the outside decoration or glaze. Non of these have any chips, cracks or repairs. Like I said, they have either been displayed only… Or if they were ever used, they were very well taken care of. I guarantee the item to be as described. Vintage Jade Snow Wong Studio Pottery Dish Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage studio art pottery dish or bowl by the listed California artist, Jade Snow Wong. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This modernist piece has a biomorphic shape. It is glazed in brown and green, with some terracotta tones to the underside. This item stands approximately 2 1/4 inches tall; it is about 5 15/16 inches long and 5 1/16 inches wide. Unpacked, it weighs 11.4 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage American studio ceramics. Identification This Jade Snow Wong Studio piece is vintage, but the exact age is not known. Wong is listed in the Vasefinder online museum. Per Vasefinder, Wong received a B. From Mills College in 1942; she later received an honorary Ph. From Mills College in 1976. She studied ceramics and enameling with F. Most of her ceramics were created during the 1940s and 1950s; later, she turned her attention to producing enameled copper pieces. Wong exhibited at the Nationals from 1946 to 1950. Condition This piece looks very good overall, with very light wear. There are no cracks or chips. Variations in glazing are as made. As made, there is a tiny (1/32 inch), raised, white speck to the interior. Terms of Sale 1.
