Rare hard to find color, mid century Bennington Potters. Nice Terra Cotta style color, look, and feel. 4 Tawny Mustard bowls with no chips or cracks. These measure 9.25″ diameter and 2.75″ tall. They have the tawny mustard color with brown accents – no two are alike! These have natural glaze pops in places, one has a manufacturing streak in the bottom, see pics. David Cressey California Studio Pottery Vase/Planter. Dimensions – 6″ Diameter x 4.5″ Tall. The piece is in good original condition. It was used as a planter so the inside has some soil residue. HUGE David SHANER Studio Pottery STONEWARE Bowl Vintage Montana MCM

Measures just over 12.25″ across top x 5.75″ tall and 4.75 across base. Weighs a hefty 5.5 pounds. Striking mottled green/brown/gray exterior with stunning variable mineral interior. Colors are glossy & vibrant. Signed in Shaner’s familiar script on base. Hard to discern without strong light but 100% guaranteed. One shallow indent on side – likely by artist’s hand (last photo). David Shaner received his M. From the Alfred University School Of Ceramics in the 1950′s. He later became the director of the Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramics Arts in Helena, Montana. The dish and cover are in good vintage condition without any chips, cracks, or repairs. The dish with lid is 5 inches tall and the dish is 7.75 inches in diameter. The signature is hard to photograph so I added four photos. The last photo has flour added to make the signature visible. The dish is signed “SHANER”.
