Sweet Vintage Rookwood Arts & Crafts Cabinet Bowl XXIX 1929 #2130 Yellow Ochre

This piece has an arts-and-crafts shape with an undulating wave design encircling the bowl. This exceptional bowl is in excellent condition with only very-minor scuffing from gentle use and a very small firing crack just at the top rim (as made). There are no chips, no other cracks, no crazing and no repairs. The piece is just under 2″ tall, 4-1/4″ wide at the shoulder, and 3-1/2 wide at the top rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 2130 and the production year XXIX (1929). The stilt marks are just visible, and the base has been ground flat to level the piece. This gorgeous glaze color is a deep, matte yellow-ochre drip glaze that adds beautiful dimension to the bowl. This gorgeous mini piece is otherwise very clean both inside and out. Check out all 8 photos! This lovely little cabinet piece would be perfect for any Rookwood or American art pottery collector. Art Nouveau Antique Water Pitcher Set Large Jug Vase Bowl Arts & Crafts Deco Vtg

Made in England by F. Large water jug and washing bowl. Gorgeous Art Nouveau style. Lovely pink poppies surround both the pitcher and the bowl. The main blue / green tone was hard to photograph, but it is teal – a turquoise leaning more toward the green family. The golden flowers at the base of each piece are set on a lovely, soft, pastel yellow background that fades up into ivory / cream and meets the pink poppies. Pitcher: 14″ tall, 8.5″ spout to handle, 7.5 diameter at widest point. Bowl: 16.75 diameter across at top, 5 tall / deep from base. Fantastic condition for being over 100 years old. No chips or cracks in the pitcher. No cracks in the bowl, but there are 3 tiny 1/8 chips in the lip of the bowl (see closeup for the most noticeable one – the rest are less noticeable). Some very light paint loss to the gold edge of the bowl and lightly here and there on both pieces. The pitcher has some paint loss on the teal top part, mainly on the handle. This piece is glossy blue with a multi-colored band of cuenca type decoration. The pot measures approximately 4 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches tall. Unpacked, it weighs 10.0 ounces. This would be a fine addition to a collection of California art pottery. Identification This vintage piece is marked beneath, as shown,’California Faience. ” It also has a black “THE EUREKA INN marking beneath. California Faience, of Berkeley, California, produced pots such as this for the Eureka Inn of Eureka, California. Condition The pot looks very good overall, with no chips or cracks.
