The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, minor crazing and no repairs. This piece is almost 4-1/4″ tall, 5-1/2″ wide at the shoulder, and 3-3/4 wide at the rim opening. The base of the pottery is stamped with the Rookwood Pottery flame mark, the shape number 1927 and the production year XXV (1925). This jardinière features a beautifully-tapered, turned shape with a collared rim. This stunning glaze is a matte, soft-rose drip glaze with a very faint green overspray that is just visible and has curdled on the bowl. Ribbing is visible both inside and out from the turning process as well as tiny glaze pinholes. There is some very light scuffing, and the interior shows some light residual staining from gentle use.
