Straight from a local estate comes this OLD-TIME Red Wing pottery pedestal compote bowl. You’ll love the content & detail. Condition is ok for age. There is some surface wear. Several small nips along edges. The pedestal and bowl have been re-glued together. Could use a good cleaning. You please be the judge of condition… See photos for condition. Natzler signed Pottery vase. The style is more rustic, with an organic porous detail, magnified more prominently towards the bottom portion of the vase. The inside is a dark metallic color with the porous details magnified.
Beautifully hand painted antique set of Limoges bowls! Antique T&V Limoges footed berry Nut bowl set 5 Piece Hand Painted 3 Signed. Each berry bowl contains a different hand painted scene: one each of blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, and red currents or cranberries. Three small bowls are signed or initialed by the same artist: L. Each are painted in the same style, so I’m not certain why the last isn’t signed or initialed. Small bowls are about 5.25 in diameter. The larger bowl is a beautiful hand painted scene of cherries measuring about 8.5″x3″. There are cherries inside and out. The three feet are gold gilt as are the rims to all of the bowls. These T&V Limoges bowls were made between 1892 and 1907. Considering their age, this set is in very good condition! One small bowl has a hairline crack seen in pics. Rest are no cracks no chips no crazing. Very little paint or gold loss even at their age!
He opened his sales shop in 1954 and his ceramics won awards, proving to be extremely popular. Featuring an elegant conical shape on a raised foot with a smooth finish, this piece is decorated with intricate wax-resist designs in shades of olive green. It measures 9 3/4 inches across the top rim, stands 4 1/2 inches tall on a 4 inch diameter base and weighs 2 pounds 10 ounces. We’ve included a photo from a website called washingtonruralheritage. The caption reads: Louis Mideke and guests look at work in his studio, Bellingham, Washington, circa 1975. Note that the upside-down bowl in the foreground is almost identical to this one. This bowl is in excellent condition, with no damage, little wear and crazing confined to the inner bottom. In 1981, Mideke was honored as a Living Treasure by the Bellingham Municipal Arts Commission. This beautiful bowl illustrates why Louis Mideke’s works have earned a following among collectors everywhere.
Vintage RRP Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Roseville, Oh. 5-pc nesting bowl set, #9,8,7,6,5. Amazingly there are no chips or cracks. It is a handsome grouping. Design includes alternating art-deco style fan shapes, topped by a light cream glaze run. The brown is a deep rich color. For food prep as well as presentation. RRP Co was formed in 1920 with the merger of the pottery company and Robinson Clay Products Co and was thereafter known as RRP. Robinson Ransbottom Pottery (RRP) was known for utilitarian pottery for more than a century. Dimensions #9-#5: 9″ diameter and 5″ tall; 8″ D and 4½” T; 7¼” D and 3¾” T; 6¼” D and 3¼” T; 5½” D and 3″ T.
This set is rare not too many around. I read it was from the 60′s. In pretty good condition except for a couple issues I noticed. First around top edge of bowl a spot some air pockets it appears. Second sloppy paint job on side of face. The head is heavy doesn’t stay on all that great it is like a balancing act. Overall a really nice collectors set. I do not see any chips or cracks that I noticed. Please see all pics.
