VTG Pedestal Bowl with Lid Stoneware Brown Openwork Design Signed JB 8.5 H. Hand Crafted by a Lancaster, Texas artist named Johnny H Blase this lidded stoneware pedestal bowl is in excellent condition. The maker appears to have used artistic queues from Korean vessels and integrated into this one where the knob lid is finely detailed with tally marks and the top has a UFO saucer spacecraft shape with geometric designs. The base has steam cutouts similar to what is seen with European castles. Texture varies but overall smooth with a Raku fired appearance. This will be a unique one of a kind collectible for a serious stoneware pottery collector and a true conversation piece.
