NAMPEYO Sikyatki Revival Hopi Pottery Bowl. The interior of this bowl is a variation of the bird hanging from sky band design of Sikyatki origin that Nampeyo often used from the early the 1890s until her blindness left her unable to paint in the 1920s. RARE BIRD MOTIF w/ WHITE KAOLIN. Easily Attributed to Nampeyo of Hano. “Circa 1901 -1905, Pre-Hopi House Era”. Wide & 3-1/2 in. The Sikyatki inspired twin “Man-Eagle” birds. The bowl is more.
