Get Vendio Gallery – Now FREE! Up for your consideration is this BEAUTIFUL and RARE vintage studio Art pottery bowl attributed to Shoji Hamada! This piece was expertly hand thrown and features a hand brushed decoration at the center, as well as concentric circles. There are also three bands of decoration applied to the outside of the bowl, as well as decorative white slip applied to the inside and outide of the bowl under the glaze. It measures a hair over 2 1/2″ tall by 7″ in diameter. It is in very good vintage condition. There is a small chip to the edge of the rim which is highly visible in the 6th photograph. This is minor and doesn’t distract. Pieces by Shoji Hamada rarely come up for sale on the open market.
