Vintage Pottery Bowls

This is the Siren of the Sea by Van Briggle. It is from the 1930′s or 1940′s. The details are much crisper than the later versions. Both pieces have the V. An Briggle hallmark on the bottom. The bowl is 13″ diameter and 5.25″ high. The mermaid’s head is 9 from the table top to its head. The Flower Frog is 4.75″L x 5.5″W x 2.75H. Condition: There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are two makers cracks in the feet from when the clay was still wet. The glaze on top edge of the bowl, and the mermaid’s head and arm are rough. I believe that this piece might have set on.
