This piece has a great look and is a nice size measuring 7.25″ wide and 3″ tall. The detailing is beautifully done. There is some chipping to the top layer from age. Recently made available is a Vintage Santo Domingo Kewa Pueblo/Native American Pottery Bowl featuring Cut Out Flowers and Handles. The piece is unsigned and would date to the early 1900′s. Condition is good though there is rub wear to the paint, a large chip on the underside of one of the handles and an age crack photo 7. Please check out all the photographs to determine the condition. The bowl measures 4-1/2 inches high and 8-1/4 inches wide handle to handle. Vintage Santo Domingo Large Pottery Bowl Handmade Painted 10.5″ x 3.75″ Marked. Vintage Santo Domingo Large Pottery Bowl -Simply beautiful handmade and hand-painted bowl -Marked on the bottom, Santo Domingo N. 10 1/2 x 3 3/4″ -The body color of the bowl is a buff tan, the bottom is burnished red, and it is adorned with black geometric motifs -Unsure of the age for this one, could be a very old one -It does measure approx 10.5″ in diameter on top, and it stands about 3.75 tall -Good vintage condition, has some spots of discoloration and thin scratches throughout. In particular the largest area of discoloration is about 1.5″ x 1″ on one of the panels. Marks and discolorations are consistent with age and use. Please examine the photos carefully. Attributed to an Unknown Santo Domingo Pueblo Potter. The pottery is indeed a Santo Domingo Pueblo Dough. Bowl and is coiled and made of clay. The bottom of the. Bowl has a red color and has been burnished. Background color is buff with black geometric motifs. Santo Domingo has a long and distinguished tradition of. Beautiful handmade pottery which appears more simple. In form and design than the work of other Pueblos. Traditional Santo Domingo style features black or red. Designs on a buff color background often with a red base. The designs are large, blocky and symmetrical. Designs include flowers, geometric motifs such as circles. And scalloped patterns, and stylized birds and animals. The shape of your dough bowl is very round, more like a. High half-circle; there is untreated (no design) negative.
