Vintage Peters and Reed Pottery Bowl Description and Item Information Up for sale is this vintage Peters and Reed art pottery bowl or vase. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This pot has a wonderful, arts and crafts style, matte green glaze. The exterior has an organic, raised vine motif. The bowl stands about 3 1/2 inches tall, and the maximum diameter is approximately 8 1/2 inches. It weighs just over 2 3/4 pounds, unpacked. The base has tripod stilt marks. This pot would be a great addition to a vintage American art pottery collection. Identification This vintage pot is unmarked. It is Peters and Reed pottery from Ohio; it is from the Pereco line. Condition The bowl looks good overall, with light wear, and no cracks. On the side, near the rim, there is a 1/8 inch round area of missing (flaked) glaze. One of the raised vines has a small (1/8 inch by 3/8 inch) chip. Another raised vine has a very small (1/16 inch by 1/8 inch) glaze flake. Variations in glazing are as made. TERMS OF SALE (the not fun but unfortunately necessary fine print) 1. The resale certificate must be properly filled out in accordance with California Board of Equalization regulations.
