Gloss glaze in yellow, olive, blue and grey on a butternut yellow ground. Signed on bottom “Nelson July’40″. Fine craquelure over entire piece. One repaired chip (detailed in photo). 9 3/8″ diameter, 7 3/4″ inner diameter, 1 1/4 high. Gloss glaze in green, black, yellow, blues, etc. On a terra cotta ground. Signed on bottom “Nelson 54″. One flea bite out of edge as detailed in photo. Signs of wear to interior bottom glaze upon close inspection. 9 3/8″ diameter, 7 7/8″ inner diameter, 1 1/2 high. Gloss glaze in shades of blue, black and white on a terra cotta ground. Dense crackle glaze on center design. Signed on bottom “Nelson 54″, also “Stokes” incised into clay.
