KEN EDWARDS Original Vintage Signed Hand Painted Ceramic El Palomar Mexico Porcelain Pottery Bowl. This is a Rare & Original Vintage Signed Glazed Ceramic Pottery Bowl Signed by Ken Edwards who was a well-known Ceramicist. This Piece was Handmade by El Palomar Pottery Mexico & Artist Signed by Ken Edwards. It was Beautifully Hand Painted with Original Glazed Finish that has nice Curve & Contour throughout the Edges of the Piece. It was nicely Hand Painted with Beautiful Floral Decor & Dove from the Time Period. This Piece has Glazed Finish which brings out Beautiful Detail & Color. It has Beautiful Colors that were Well Blended & Gives Great Depth & Dimension to the Details in Meticulous Designs. VTG Ken Edwards Hand Painted Mexican pottery 9 inch deer serving or pasta bowl

This 9-inch vintage Mexican pottery serving or pasta bowl was handcrafted in the Ken Edwards studio (Tonala, Mexico). Each stoneware piece made at his studio is handpainted with lead-free glazes. No two pieces are exactly the same. This particular large bowl is of light grey-blue color with a hand painted deer or stag amongst a colorful garden. The colors in the imagery include, blue-violet, red, blues, green, brown, white, dark outline, etc. The rim of the bowl has a rustic glaze of varying brown color. The bowl has a 9 inch diameter and measures approx. 3 1/8 inches tall. The bottom is signed with a “KE” (attributed to Ken Edwards) with a stylized bird and also marked, “Mexico”. Ken Edwards moved to the crafts village of Tonala in Central Mexico in the 1960s where he founded the company known as Ken Edwards Stoneware. This particular piece was a part of his “Traditional Series”. It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks and would make a beautiful serving piece, but also is beautiful as an object/home decor piece. Height: 3 1/8 inches. Hallmarks: signed, “KE” (attributed to Ken Edwards) with a stylized bird and “Mexico”. 6 Vtg Ken Edwards El Palomar Tonala Mexico Soup Bowl 2 Handles Blue Bird

You are looking at a set of 6 El Palomar Ken Edwards soup bowls with two handles. It has a blue bird and swirls as decoration. It is in the colors gray, blue and brown. On the bottom of the handle is written’El Palomar’ and’Tonala’ or’Mexico’ not on all very visible, and an insect from the artist who painted it. Ken Edwards pottery is classified as high-fired stoneware which makes it watertight, oven safe, microwave safe, dishwasher safe and is extremely durable. These hand-made and hand-painted pieces of art are collected for their rustic and one of a kind charm and do have natural irregularities and imperfections that serve to give each their own unique character, no piece is the same. They are in excellent condition. No cracks, no chips. One has two slits on the rim, must happened during production. Please see last picture. Some bowls have a darker paint on the inside, it is not dirt, but how they have been painted and fired. There are a few paint skips or/and popped paint bubbles.
