Antique rare American art pottery bowl by J. Modeled in a lobed form with a finely applied bird perched on the rim and a molded leaf interior. Warm caramel and tan glazes highlight the naturalistic Art Nouveau styling typical of late 19th to early 20th century Owens work. A scarce and unusual form, further distinguished by the circular factory stamp present on the side. Condition: Very good overall conditon; heavy crazing present; kindly see photos.
