The surface decoration is deeply impressed and the glaze is shiny but rough as it should be on Bitossi pottery. Beautiful mustard yellow, brown and orange colours, all hand-painted on and showing signs of brush strokes which is what makes Bitossi so. Very heavy as you would expect of a piece of this size and quality. A classic example of mid century Italian handmade ceramic art. This is a genuine vintage 1960s piece, not a new piece. A stunning addition to any mid century or contemporary setting. In excellent condition expect for two very tiny chips on the top rim (see last two photos). Approximate dimensions: Diameter 28cm.
