1960′s, vintage set of 4 Vernonware Heavenly Days serving bowls with a wonderful MCM design. All in mint condition, the pieces appear to be unused. Features blues, pinks and browns in the design. Included is all of the following. 1 Covered Vegetable Serving Bowl 9 3/4″ across X 5″ tall to the top of the finial. 2 Serving bowl 9″ X 8 1/4″ X 2 7/8 tall. 3 2 bowls measuring 7 1/2″ X 6 3/4″ X 2 1/4 tall (these could have been soup bowls). A wonderful set in unused condition. A fine addition to any home or collection! All items come from a smoke free home. Excellent condition, NO chips or cracks. Large bowl measures 9 in diameter on top rim. Small bowl measures 4-7/8 in diameter on top rim. The Vernon stamp says Early California, Authentic Vernonware, Vernon Kilns, Calif. Made in USA and was used in the 1930s and probably through the 1940s. You can clearly see the mark on the bottom of the yellow bowl, partially see the stamp on one of the medium green bowls, barely see the stamp on the other medium green bowl and hardly see it at all on the dark green one but it looks like its there if you hold it just right in the light. My guess is that these bowls were probably manufactured in the mid to late 1940s. Vernon Kilns was founded in 1931 in Vernon, California, and manufactured there until 1958.
