The scenic decoration is framed by richly shaded porcelain and an ornate molded border, creating a particularly striking display piece. The underside bears the distinctive red R. Prussia star-and-wreath factory mark with “Prussia” beneath, associated with Reinhold Schlegelmilch porcelain production. Form: Scenic handled bowl / decorative serving bowl. Decoration: European church, architectural landscape, figures, water and sailboat. Colors: Purple, lavender, amber, cream, gold and multicolor. Features: Pierced handles, deeply molded scalloped rim, scenic decoration, gilt accents and gold stencil ornament. Origin: Prussia / Germany. Prussia red star-and-wreath factory mark. The combination of the architectural scenic subject, elaborate molded form, pierced handles, dramatic coloration and extensive gilding makes this a particularly attractive example of R. An excellent addition to a collection of R. Prussia, Reinhold Schlegelmilch, antique German porcelain, Art Nouveau porcelain or European scenic ceramics. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and document the decoration, factory mark and exact condition.
