Stunning rare unique piece. Does have some mild surface scratching and unique marks from kiln. Produced during a brief window in the early 1950s, this piece perfectly marries heavy, organic Scandinavian form with bold American modernist presentation. Design & Color:This low-profile bowl features Tynys’ signature asymmetrical, fluid elliptical shape. It is coated in an incredibly vibrant, high-gloss Crimson Red glaze that displays magnificent depth, subtle under-glaze dark swirling, and beautiful natural mineral variations typical of high-fire studio pottery. Unique Collector’s Anomaly:The underside of the bowl features a rare double-stamping curiosity: it is sharply hand-incised A. This production quirk adds a unique layer of historical charm for serious studio pottery enthusiasts.
