For your consideration is a fabulous vintage large pottery bowl by Canadian potter Tessa Kidick dating to the 1960′s/1970′s. Wonderful thickly applied glaze – see photos. Tessa Kidick was a potter sent by the Ontario Arts Council to teach pottery to six or seven “Six Nations” women who were interested in reviving the lost art of Iroquois pottery. One of which was Elda Smith, who formed the “Mohawk Pottery Studio”. Measures 10″ in diameter at the rim and 2 3/4″ in height. In fantastic vintage condition – mentioned for accuracy sake. For your consideration is a fabulous vintage pottery bowl by Theo & Susan Harlander made in Brooklin Ontario dating to the 1960′s. Wonderful abstract sgraffito design of a woman. Early mark on the bottom as shown in our photo. Measures 4 3/4 in diameter at the rim and 1 in height. In very good vintage condition. There are a couple of spots of what looks like shiny glaze – two on the interior of the bowl and some on the rim in one area – a product of manufacture? – mentioned for accuracy sake. This is a masterful and unique hand made piece with an interesting abstract design on the interior in a deep claret colour. 12 1/2 diameter, just under 3 high. Stamped Robin Hopper Canada and rh. No chips, cracks or repairs. One tiny glaze rub on the rim. There is substantial crazing on the interior, as shown in the photos.
