An absolutely beautiful, one-of-a-kind, extremely large, Red Wing lunch hour piece. The bowl itself is cut on a bias Town & Country, 13 salad bowl designed by Eva Zeisel in 1947. The inside of the bowl is a gorgeous crackled turquoise with a stylized black motif. The outside i s glazed dusty rose, interrupted only by the artists fingerprints. It was used on dinnerware as a decorative color rather than an art-pottery glaze. The bottom indicates that this was a gift piece from “Robin” to “Maggie” in 1948. Perfect for any serious Red Wing pottery collector. I was told by a Red Wing Pottery expert that it may well be the largest example of a lunch hour piece known to exist.
