Mid-2oth century Ita li an Modernist ceramic art &. Hand decorated art pottery. 10 ¼” Depth x 8″ Width x 2 ½ Height. Signed at the back’B & 2 F1 (A)’ IT A LY. In really fantastic, very well-preserved overall vintage condition. The surfaces of the bowl’s interior basin are free of unsightly and depreciating abrasions or scuffs. The entire piece is free of hairline cracks, flea-bites to any of its edges, ceramic loss or glaze loss. The hand-painted architectural forms, featuring high-rise buildings, with skyward reaching antennas, is a homage paid to the unique, architectural and skyward reaching urban landscape of the near mythological Manhattan and the City of New York. With so many Ita li ans living in Manhattan after WWII, the city held a very special place abroad for Ita li ans, especially Ita li an artists. A fantastic, early Bitossi piece for Raymor in great, well-preserved condition. Good to Very Good overall vintage condition. VERY RARE WELLER AME RI CAN ARTS & CRAFTS SIGNED EARLY 20TH CENTURY ANTIQUE CERAMIC FROG BOWL, W/GREEN, BONE WHITE & METALLIC BURNT SIENNA MOTTLED GLAZE DEPICTING A FROG PERCHED ON THE EDGE OF A POND NEXT TO A BLOOMING WATER LILLY. Weller antique Ame ri can Arts & Crafts figurative art pottery and ceramic vessels. 11 ¼ Length x 7. ¾” Depth x 4″ Height including the frog x 2 ½ Height (Bowl). Extremely rare and in simply outstanding, estate fresh condition. Not only are these early 20th century antique Weller Ame ri can Arts & Crafts hand decorated ceramic’frog bowls’ hard to find, but to encounter one in this kind of extremely well-preserved condition, is well, almost simply too much to ask. A plaything and personal artifact of the gods. Gorgeous and an exquisite, nearly unparalleled antique Weller piece of Ame ri can Arts & Crafts ceramic art. Incredible glaze, figuration and surfaces make this a memorable, extraordinary work of antique Ame ri can ceramic art. One magnificent, killer bowl. Clearly signed on the base plate with a black ink Weller Pottery maker’s mark stamp. The small episode of bone white ceramic glaze loss on the base plate to the right and top of the Weller Pottery black ink stamp, is the only noticeable, fairly significant instance of appreciable damage to the dish. No attempt has been made to rectify or to correct this condition issue or to professionally restore this affected area. We decided to leave it exactly as we found it where it was discovered in the South Shore Massachusetts estate where it had been, largely undisturbed and perhaps forgotten, for years and years, apparently with only one previous owner.
