This vintage Santo Domingo pottery bowl has been beautifully crafted. It measures 3 1/2″ tall by 7 1/2″ across. This pot has been made in the traditional way with outdoor firing. A CLEAN AND NICE VINTAGE HOPI CHILI / HOMILY BOWL POT by a known artist. Freda Poleahla was born into the Fire/Coyote clan in 1935 and began making pottery in 1955. She stopped making pots in 1990 and was deceased in 1995. Her daughter continues in the family tradition. This pot looks to be a homily or chili bowl and would be one actually used in the pueblo.
