The entire piece is free of hairline cracks, flea-bites to any of its edges, ceramic loss or glaze loss. The hand-painted architectural forms, featuring high-rise buildings, with skyward reaching antennas, is a homage paid to the unique, architectural and skyward reaching urban landscape of the near mythological Manhattan and the City of New York. With so many Ita li ans living in Manhattan after WWII, the city held a very special place abroad for Ita li ans, especially Ita li an artists.
