This beautifully crafted pottery bowl was made by Hopi artist Hattie Navajo. Hattie Navajo is a listed artist in Gregory Schaaf’s “Hopi-Tewa Pottery”. She began creating pottery in the 1970s and lives in the Hopi village of Sichomovi. Some of her work is in the collection of the Museum of Northern Arizona. This bowl has been beautifully shaped and polished. The sides of the bowl have are painted with two eagles, rainclouds and a crosshatched areas which may represent a planted field. The bowl measures approximately 9 1/8″ across and 4″ tall. There is also a “spirit line” which opens through the solid border line at the rim of the bowl. This bowl has some light scuffing of the paint and is in great vintage condition. It is signed on the bottom. New items will be listed every week. Our prices are better than wholesale.
