Fresh from a local Texas estate is this vintage Amoeba bowl by master San Antonio potter Harding Black. Signed “Harding Black 1953″. It is in excellent condition, there are four small grooves on the backside edge , as well as a tiny scratch/divot on the rim as shown. I’m not sure if they are tool marks/imperfections from when it was made or occurred some other time in its life. In any event they are not obvious or distracting. Some dark spots here and there on the unglazed rim/backside. No cracks or repairs. 10 1/2″ x 7″ x 2 1/2 h and weighs about 5 1/2 lbs. I have several pieces of Harding Black pottery from the 50′s listed separately. The item “Vintage Harding Black Amoeba Bowl 1953 Texas Studio Pottery” is in sale since Saturday, September 18, 2021.
