Antiques Japanese Sumida Gawa Pottery Bowl circa 1900. The bowl with six men peering into a green pond , they all have. I believe it was made by the artist Inoue. Ryosai circa 1880- 1930 though un signed which is a common. Feature with many Sumida Gawa items. A much collected piece. Of spectacular pottery offered in fully restored near perfect. Condition , professionally restoration to some of the figures. Inoue Ryosia studied ceramics in Seto later moving to Edo Tokyo. In 1887 at the first National Industrial Exposition he won. A prize for his work and in 1878 he exhibited in Paris with Kiritsu. Kosho Kaisha and continued to exhibit and win prizes for his work. Approx 18 cms dia 12 cms tall. Weight 1.480 kg.
